Tom Brady’s Unique Baseball Card Unveiled in 2023 Bowman Draft

In a shocking move, Topps, the renowned sports card company, is set to release its highly anticipated 2023 Bowman Draft Baseball collection, and one unexpected star is stealing the spotlight – former NFL player Tom Brady. Known for his exceptional football career, Brady was also a talented multi-sport athlete in high school. To pay tribute to his baseball aspirations, Topps has featured Brady in this unique series, showcasing him in a Montreal Expos jersey. This commemorates Brady’s selection by the Expos in the 18th round of the baseball draft, before he ultimately decided to pursue football at the University of Michigan.

One of the most exciting aspects of the 2023 Bowman Draft collection is the inclusion of 81 autographed cards of Tom Brady. To build anticipation for the release, Topps has provided glimpses of the cards on social media and plans to release an amusing video soon. Already, one card in particular has caught the attention of collectors and fans alike. It features Brady with an inscription suggesting that if his baseball career didn’t work out, he had a backup plan in football. The card also features a French inscription, paying homage to his brief time with the Expos.

Among the standout pieces in this collection is a highly sought-after autographed card numbered 12/50 – a nod to Brady’s iconic jersey number. This unique card has already caused a stir, with a private collector reportedly offering a staggering $500,000 for it. Additionally, there’s a rare 1-of-1 SuperFractor autographed card that collectors are eagerly anticipating.

What makes Brady’s appearance in the 2023 Bowman Draft collection even more intriguing is the fact that he holds the distinction of being the last Expos draft pick to retire from professional sports. After the 2004 season, the Expos relocated to Washington, D.C. and became the Nationals.

For collectors, the 2023 Bowman Draft collection will be available in two formats: Hobby and Jumbo. The Hobby format includes three autographed cards per box, while the Jumbo format offers five autographed cards. The official release date for the collection is set for Tuesday, December 12th. However, some boxes have already surfaced before the official release, with Hit Factory Sports Cards in Arizona revealing a non-signed Tom Brady card. Nonetheless, collectors can’t contain their excitement as Brady’s autographed cards have already started appearing on popular auction sites like eBay.

The addition of Tom Brady’s autographed baseball cards to the 2023 Bowman Draft collection adds a unique twist to the world of sports card collecting. As fans and collectors eagerly await the release, it’s clear that the demand for these limited-edition cards featuring a football legend in a baseball jersey is at an all-time high.
