In the world of basketball, the return of Topps Chrome cards is a cause for revel. The cards are on the calendar for a summer launch, making it their first release since the 2009 -10 NBA season. There’s already a buzz in the air with the teases of an autographed rookie NBA card of the phenomenal talent Victor Wembanyama. Exclusive autographs from A-listers such as LeBron James, who recently parted ways with Upper Deck, Shaquille O’Neal, and Kevin Durant, are bagged with precision. Dark horse, Midnight Cosmic, chrome-masterpiece Chrome Finest, the crème de la crème – Motif, royal descendant Royalty Collection, alma mater pride, Collegiate Chrome, and Bowman U Chrome will make up the team of basketball products, set to hit the markets over the next year.
Though the NFL license is set to commence only by 2026, Topps is laying down the foundation for their football cards, centering primarily around college themes.
