Upper Deck Signs Rising Hockey Star Michael Misa

Upper Deck has announced a thrilling partnership with hockey prodigy Michael Misa, sealing an exclusive multi-year deal that introduces an array of unique collectibles celebrating the young athlete’s promising career. With Misa set to make waves in the 2025 NHL Draft, this collaboration aims to provide fans with innovative ways to engage with and commemorate his journey in the sport.

At just 15 years old, Misa made history by earning “Exceptional Status” for the 2022-23 season in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), becoming only the sixth player in the league’s history to receive this esteemed designation. Since then, the talented player has notched impressive feats, including clinching the OHL’s Rookie of the Year title and garnering the prestigious Emms Family Award, solidifying his status as a rising star in the hockey scene.

President of Upper Deck, Jason Masherah, expressed his enthusiasm for welcoming Misa into the Upper Deck family. The company is eager to craft and distribute a distinctive collection of memorabilia and trading cards dedicated to capturing pivotal moments from Misa’s early career. This collection will feature a range of tangible and digital formats, allowing fans to engage with and celebrate Misa’s accomplishments in a unique manner.

Among the exclusive memorabilia available to fans are autographed game-used pucks from Misa’s time with the Saginaw Spirit, prints of his #77 jersey, and signed jerseys showcasing memorable highlights from his burgeoning career. In addition, Upper Deck has rolled out three Game Dated Moments trading cards on UpperDeckEpack.com, commemorating key milestones such as Misa’s selection as the #1 pick in the 2022 OHL Priority Draft, his first goal in the league, and his Rookie of the Year honor. Early collectors completing the set stand to receive a special treat – an autographed version of Misa’s Rookie of the Year award card, with this offer available for purchase until February 22.

Expressing his excitement about joining the ranks of Upper Deck’s esteemed athletes alongside icons like Wayne Gretzky and Connor McDavid, Misa emphasized the significance of this partnership in realizing his childhood aspirations and sharing his journey with fans. This collaboration not only celebrates the meteoric rise of a young talent in the hockey world but also underscores Upper Deck’s commitment to connecting fans with their sports idols through inventive and captivating collectibles.
